The product works through three simple principles:

The 1.38-inch-wide design provides more coverage than many narrow sealing tapes. This is especially useful for wider, uneven, or difficult-to-cover gaps where a thin strip may leave part of the opening exposed.

2. The Flexible Strip Follows the Surface

Doors, window frames, and shower edges are not always perfectly straight or evenly aligned.

A rigid material may sit against one part of the surface while leaving another part open. A flexible strip can adapt more closely to slight changes in the surface, helping maintain better coverage across the gap.

When a door or window closes, the strip can bend or press gently against the nearby surface. This contact helps reduce the open space without requiring a permanent structural modification.

3. The Adhesive Holds the Barrier in Position

A sealing strip can only work when it remains properly positioned.

How to Install the Weather Stripping

Correct installation is one of the most important factors affecting performance.

Step 1: Identify the Gap

Close the door, window, or shower panel and inspect where the opening appears.

Determine whether the strip should cover the gap, overlap it, or make gentle contact with the opposite surface.

Step 2: Measure the Area

Measure the full length of the section you want to seal.

Whenever possible, use one continuous piece instead of several small pieces. Fewer joints usually create cleaner coverage.

Step 3: Clean the Surface

Remove:

• Dust
• Dirt
• Oil
• Moisture
• Soap residue
• Loose paint
• Old adhesive

Use a suitable cleaning method for the surface. Allow the area to dry completely before installation.

Step 4: Test the Position

Before removing the backing, hold the strip against the surface.

Confirm that:

• It fully covers the opening
• It will not prevent normal opening or closing
• It does not fold into the wrong direction
• It does not create excessive friction

Step 5: Peel and Apply Gradually

Do not remove the entire adhesive liner at once.

Peel back a short section, align the strip, and press it into place. Continue slowly along the surface while keeping the strip straight and relaxed.

Avoid stretching the strip during installation. A stretched strip may gradually pull back toward its original shape and place unnecessary stress on the adhesive.

Step 6: Press Firmly

Press along the entire installed length to create consistent adhesive contact.

Pay special attention to the beginning, end, corners, and any curved areas.

Step 7: Allow the Adhesive to Set

Avoid unnecessary pulling, water exposure, or repeated movement immediately after installation.

Giving the adhesive time to develop contact with the surface can improve long-term performance.
